Book by a 7 year old

Derry and I have a friend whose 7 year old son is writing a book on a blog. It is called Star School. His dad helps him a bit with the writing, but the story and content are all his. It is actually really good. Take a look at it at here.

Major Changes

These past two weeks have been fun. Katylynn has changed so much. Here are the ways:

1. She Crawls
2. Pulls herself up on the couch
3. Walks along the couch
4. Eats Cheerios
5. Pulls her self up in bed
6. Has two teeth and one more along the way
7. Has graduated to the next nursery at church
8. Finds her bottle, lifts it up and puts it in her mouth

July 4th Recap

Yesterday Derry, Katylynn & I journeyed up to South Haven, MI with the Weiss family to meet up with Craig Helfrich & finace' Jill and Craig's Parents.

We had lots of fun. It started off with a cookout and a "snapper" war. You know those little things you throw on the ground and they pop. Yeah, we threw them at each other. We didn't teach the kids a good thing, but it was fun!After lunch we went to the beach. While there Dan, Katie, Craig, Jill, Derry & I all hit a volleyball around. Our goal was to get to 30 hits without it dropping. It took us a long time. Sand got lodged in some not so pleasant places, but eventually we got 34. As soon as we got it, we all called it quits and dove into the ICE COLD lake.

After cleaning up, we went to Saugatuck and ate. I had the best burger EVER. After dinner, we left for home, while the others stayed for fireworks.
