Baptism is cool!

As most of you know, today we had baptism at Wagner's Pond. I believe 59 people were baptized. It was by far one of the coolest ones we've had. I believe I say that every year, but it was cool.

Some of my favorite parts:

1. Rita Hauptli shared about how in 2003 @ NYGO she had a burden to see her family come to know Christ. Her Mom was baptized last year and her 2 sisters were baptized today. She has been faithful and now they know Christ. SO VERY COOL! Way to stay true Rita!



2. Brittney Anglin being baptized. She has grown SO much over this past year. I am so very proud of her. Beforehand I asked her if she was excited, scared, nervous or what. Her response..YES, all of it! Way to take a stand Brittney!


3. The Brown Family gets baptized. How cool was it to see an entire family get baptized? From parents who faithfully follow Christ and live their life accordingly to children following that example and making it their own in their own lives. WAY TO GO Andy, Kathy, Tom, Eric & Allysa! So Cool.

40 miles down

Today Kellie Fishburn and I went for a bike ride. We usually bike on Tuesday Nights for about 18-20 miles. Last week we decided to tack on another day this week. We decided to bike to Syracuse, eat lunch and bike back. Well, that is what we did today! We biked 40 miles! That is the most I've ever done.

God was most definitely on our side today. We knew rain was coming and we both prayed pretty hard. When we pulled into Kellie's driveway the sky was overcast. We went inside for some water. 15 minutes later we came out and the sky was dark. I loaded up my bike and headed home. I was home 20 minutes then it down poured. He's pretty cool. I'm glad he held it off for us!!

So when Andrew Berkey was an intern at church, he exposed us to Dominic the Donkey. Although the version he showed us was faster, I found this one on You Tube. It's quite humorous.

So Derry told me about this website where you can take your picture and "Simpsonize" yourself. It's pretty fun actually. From your picture they turn you into a Simpson. I had fun. Take a look at what I've turned into.

I like that hair style...I think I may get my hair cut like that.

1/2 way there.

Back in June I started this lifestyle change with my eating habits. It's been hard and extremely hard at times, but very rewarding. My philosophy: Everything in Moderation. So that's what I've done. I've lost 20 pounds, half way to my goal!
