uh oh I'm slipping...

So it has been awhile since my last post. But there is a reason. Wednesday my Dad was taken to the hospital for chest pains. It turned out that one of his main arteries was 99% blocked. So he had a stint put in to open it up. He went home the next day. It is ama-za-zing (little quote from benchwarmers) How quickly one can recover from a procedure like that!

Cats or Dogs?

What is your fancy? (Did I just say fancy?) Cats or Dogs? In high school I would have said cats, but now I must say dogs. Check out this cute pup!

I love Blueberries!

This time of year rocks!! I love blueberries so much. I could eat them for all three meals and snacks. So far this summer I have picked 30lbs of blueberries. I know I am going to go a couple more times yet this year. I freeze most of them, but between Derry and I they are gone by September. Enjoy the Blueberries!

Niece & Engagement Pictures

Yesterday I went to visit my Dad in the Hosiptal. He is doing much better. Thanks for the prayers. After visiting my Dad, I took pictures of my 10 year old niece Emma and my sister Michelle. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures.

Last night Derry helped me take engagement pictures of Brad Bullock & Kelsey Bender. We had a lot of fun. They were so much fun to take pictures of. We laughed most of the time!! They are tons of fun to be around. New Life Fellowship has some true jewels.

Gone to see Papa

I'm getting ready to leave for Fort Wayne. I'm taking pictures of my 10 year old niece. She is a funny girl. Afterwards, my sister and I are going to go see my Dad. He was admitted into the hospital yesterday for an infection. My mom says he should be in there for 2-3 days. He will be fine, but it just stinks. Anyway, please pray for my Dad for a quick recovery.

Beating the Rain

This AM Kristy and I went biking. As I look out of the window it looks like it is going to be a down poor anytime now. It was a great ride. I always love riding my bike.

It's all gone!

The time has come. The hair is gone! I could not stand it any longer. I grew out my hair because I wanted to donate it to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is an organization that provides hair pieces to children with medical hair loss. Many of them cannot afford a hair piece, so Locks of Love gives one to them. They say it takes many donations in order to make one wig. The donation needed to be 10 inches or longer. So that is what I did. See my picture. My hair is short & I love it!!

10 years and counting.

So, it has been 10 years since I graduated fom high school. My friend Megan reminded me of the deadline for our reunion...I just registered for it. I am a little nervous, but hey why not!

Another more important thing happened 10 years ago on September 24. That is where I entered into a relationship with Christ. Life as we know it has never been the same. I often hear Derry say that walking with God isn't always safe, but good. I've had some pretty tough times and some pretty awesome times. It hasn't been safe. There are countless times when I've been in danger, but it has been good. Walking with God is always an adventure. Trusting in Him can be tough, but he's got my back and it always works out for the good!

Go on Trusting!

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight."

As Promised.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the week.

All of the students have their hands stretched out as they pray for our amazing cooks, Denny & Marcia Cramer and Orv & Lorene Kropf.

Throughout the week, different students jumped on these trampolines as I took their picture. It was a lot of fun!

Check out the TRUE JOY on Sue Berkey's face. She was a true blessing this week.

Isn't the lighting just cool?

I just like the composition
of this picture.

All in All, a Great Week!

I Missed You...

Yes, we've returned from camp. It was a great week, but man am I exhausted! Derry says I look like warmed over death. Check out this picture. The funny thing is I'm trying to look more awake.

It was a great week and God spoke to me in a mighty way. After I've completely processed it, I will be glad to share it with you.

Back to the picture. Notice I'm in Derry's office. I'm waiting for him to gather some stuff up for speaking on Sunday and I decided to write a little ditty. Not really sure what "a little ditty" is, but hey, look at my picture...enough said!

I'm currently listening to the podcast of Simply Youth Ministry. It makes me laugh a ton! The best is when i'm biking and i'm laughing outloud. People who drive by just look at me funny, so I laugh even harder!

I will post either later today or sometime this weekend of some pictures of camp. I love my new Digital Rebel!! If you would like to read more about camp, check out Derry's blog.
